JUNIOR CUP COMPETITION. The second round of the junior cup competition was commenced yesterday. In the match United v. iliimaru Juniors, played on the Athletic Grounds yesterday the United won by three wickets and 21 runs. A feature of tl.e match was the innings of Warburton, wiio played fine ciieket for 48. The most successful bowlers were Kane (United), who secured eight, wickets for 27 rims, and Berry (Timaru), whose average was live for 19. This was the first match of (he second round for the Junior Cup. The following are the scores. TIMARU.
