G,r Fowlds referred to'the efforts of the Government to educate the Maori?,' and the proposals for technical education., Sit;, John Gorst, in a most interesting speech,, deferred to his experiences in tho eaiiy days,, and the changes t'ljat had miost "wtpressed him, the principal of which waw the friendship which now exited between -the two races.
