Mr McNab's reported remarks (vide the Press Association telegram, from Auckland) as to the constitutional difinculty resulting from the report- of the Representation Commissioners Sir Joseph, Ward said f tiiat his colleague must surely have been misreported. No consU<tutional question or difficulty so far as he was awttre wa* involved, nor was the status of the present memberri of Parliament in any way affected. The' present members would hold their seat* until rtext election as the report of the* Commission, even if ultimately confirmed;, did not take effect until after the expiry of the present Parliament.
