The settlers of the Grey Valley are makinir bitter complaint about the railway service, which is blocking their communication and keeping children from getting to school. The feeling at Reefton, Grey Valley, Greymouth and Kumara is very hostile'to the running of the trains, whichis at variance with public requirement*. So far only four passcagbrs in right day* have availed themselves of. thfc through • passage from Christchutch. to Hbkitika, and none to Reefton.
