In the evening there was an illuminated procession of motor launches at the port, and a great band and tire brigades* illuminated procession, concluding witli the masquerade carnival, with dancing in Trafalgar street, and confetti throwing, when masks were removed. The Mayor and the Hon. Mr Mills then gave short addresses, nsd the carnival ended.
