A BOY AND A REVOLVER.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 29. The police were informed on Sunday that a very strange shooting affair had occurred in street. The victim was a youth named Joseph Dodgson, who had to be taken to a private hospital, suffering from a bullet wound in the right- hand. He complained that a strange man had shot at him and then ran away. A detective was directed to investigate the mystery, and to-day it was completelv cleared up by Dodgson making the statement that the mysterious man who ran awav was an invention of his own. He had "been playing with a toy revolver on Sunday evening, and while putting it in his" pocket he injured hinisejtf by accidentally letting it off. As he was afraid that his parents would bo angry with him for buying the he made up the story to deceive them.
