Chartered accountants of London and NewYork laving jointly made an exhaustive examination of-the books of the Equitable Life Society, certify that all the assets were found intact. Their value is 416,166,500dols, and the surplus over liabilities is 67,144,865d015. A reduction of assets will entirely result in conservative revaluation, and will chiefly comprise real estate and shares of financial institutions. Mr Morton declared that the savings already "effected if capitalised on a 4 p<r cent, basfe would exceed the reduction of assets due to revaluation. KING AND QTJEEN OF NORWAY.
