LAND SALES. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, report the sale of the following properties at satisfactory prices:—On account of Major Hayhurst, 576.acres .of the Greenhayes Estate, to Mr ' Hugh McCully; on account of Mr Thomas Talbot, 295 acres at Eangitata Valley, to Mr John Talbot.

TIMARU PKODUCE MARKET. jyfoeat—New. wheat in good condition iTnow changing hands at up to 3s 4d for Tuscan, 3s 2d to 3s 3d for Velvet, and 3s to 3* Id for Bed Chaff, sacks extra. The wheat-must Jbe in good order, and soft samples are in the meantime neglected. Oats—Gartons Is 7d, for good equality near stations; discoloured samples are at Is 6d; Danish Is 5d to la sjd, at country stations; Tartars Is 6d; Duns Is 7d to la 7£d; sacks 6d extra. Barley—The demand lately experienced has subsided; slightly discoloured malting is worth 3s 3d, delivered at Tipiarn. Chaff—There are enquiries for prime oaten sheaf chaff for : shipment.

STUDHOLME STOCK SALE. Yesterday's stock sale at Studholme was held in the new yards, which were opened for the sale. The majority of the heavy entry of sheep were young and in good order, and a satisfactory sale resulted for everything except the more aged classes of ewes. Lambs were in exceedingly good demand and sold at from 14s 6d for backward stores to 15s 6d, 16s 4d, 16s 9d. 16s lOd, to 18s 3d. Forward wethers were also in request, and sold readily at from 16s 6d to 20s 6d. A line of fat and forward wethers made 21s 3d. Top price for ewes was 22s ~6d; sound-mouthed ewes fetched from 19s to 21s 6d. There were only about a dozen head of cattle entered; they sold at about late rates.

CLEARING SALE. j The National Mortgage and AgencyCompany o! New Zealand, Limited (per Mr A. Scotti, report having held a very 1 satisfactory clearing sale at Oak Lea, Winchester, on account of Messrs Macaulay Bros. There was a good attendance of farmers from the surrounding district, and there was keen competition for every lot submitted. The following are some of' the prices realised, viz.:—Sheep: 265 6 and 8-tooth three-qnarterbred ewes 22s 7d, 240 fnll-motrthed ewes' 17s, 547 fat lambs 17s 3d, 678 forward lambs 16s sd, 80 cnQ lambs 14s 2d, aged Border Leicester rams 2to 2£gns. Draught horses £49, £49 10s, £39 10s, £33, £32, £3l, £ls; lijthfc horses £2O, £l4 10s. - Cattle: Cows £3 to £3 ss. Fat cattle £6 3s. Calves £1 7s. Implements brought fall values.

THE HOME MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under date, London, March 23rd:—' Since our' last telegram prices of frozen mutton in general are higher by id per lb; prices of frozen lamb and beef are unchanged. The frozen meat market is quiet with a moderate business doing. The wool sales closed with prices as high as at any period of this series. Prices of merino wools, good and best qualities, are on a par with the closing rates of last series; inferior faulty and earthy greasy wools and fanlty scoured are 5 per cent, lower; fine crossbred wools are 5 per cent. lower; medium and coarse crossbred are 10 per cent, lower, except for good quality of good to super condition greasy wools suitable for America which are at par to 5 per cent, lower. The total quantity of colonial wool available, including old stocks, was 180.000 bales, out of which abont 84,000 bales have been sold for home consumption, 70,000 bales for the continent, and 6000 bales for America, leaving 20,000 bales to be carried forward to the next series."
