TRAGEDIES IN VICTORIA. United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, September 16. The body of Edward Bertram Hammond was found on Sandringham Beach shot through the head. A loaded revolver was tied to a tree, and a piece of twine attached enabled him to pull the trigger. He had written on the sanil, "Good'bye; life is not worth living." A -mysterious tragedy has occurred at Ararat," where two brothers named Walsh and a sister resided together. The .body of the sister has.been:found' near a' datfi. She was '. evidently drowned. The body had been removed from the. water for some days. The body' of one brother was discovered floating on the water with' a. gunshot wound on the head. The other brother is missing. The -Walslis' were eccentric, and had no intercourse with anyone. They refused to receive letters.
