ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND. United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received 9.8 a.m., July 7th. LONDON, July 6. President Loubet had a great send-off from France, and received a tremendous ovation at Dover.
THE GREETING AT SIiEERNESS. KING AND PRESIDENT.—A GREAT WELCOME. Received 0.28 a.m., July Bth. LONDON, July. 7. ) At Shoerness a flotilla of torpedodestroyers met the Guichen and escorted her through a line of twenty-five British war-ships outside Dover harbour. All were diessed in " rainbow fashion," and fired a salute of 21 guns as the Guichen passed. In replying to the address from the Dover Corporation, President Lcubet said that his visit, was a public testimony of Fiance's friendship. Both nations had motives and interests drawing them together, and such accord would prove and profitable to themselves and help the progiess of oivi'isation and the welfaro of humanity. King Edward greeted President Loubet with the greatest cordiality upon his arrival at Victoria Station, where tha Prince <jf Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, Hi* Duke and Duchess of Argyll, Lord Roberts, Mr Balfour, and the Marquis of Lnnsdowne, were also present. The National Anthem and Marseillaise were played. The King and President Loubet drove from the station to York House. Piccadilly and St. James' (itreel were lavishly decorated, many French emblems being in evidence, and immense crowds along the route ovationed President Loubet.
Received 1.5 a.m., July Bth. SYDNEY, July 7. The British' and French flags wire displayed side by side on the various Governors' residences, and the Federal and State offices, in honour of President Loubet's visit v> London.
