Clarion led for a mile and a quarter, when the other two went away and fought out a desperate firish. Aquinaldo winning by a neck. Divic.er.e, £2 5s 6d. , , THIRD HACK FLAT RACE. , Tawera 1 Waireka 2 King Edward 3 Scratched—Governess, Flying Jib and Flying Shell. Won by three-quarters of a length, after a hard go for the last furlong. Dividends, £2 lis 6d and £1 4s 6d. ATKINSON" MEMORIAL STAKES. Battleaxe 1 Taplow J- 2 Motor ; 3 AH started, and on entering the straight - the five contestants were all in it, but Battleaxe gained on Taplow inch by inch, and won bv a nose. Kdiwhakaroa - 1 • Hautonga 2 1 Sultana 3 Sudor and Vanquish made play for hall the distance, but Kaiwhakaroa and Hautonga forged ahead a quarter of a mile from home, and the former won with a bit to spare. Dividend. £2 7s 6d. FOURTH HACK HANDICAP. Convoy 1 Flying Jib 2 Mariaothus 3 Won by half a length, all out. Dividends, £l2 3s 6d and £1 12s. NORMANBY STAKES. Beau Ideal 1 Lady Bell 2 Onuitae - 3 Nioiti was scratched. Beau Ideal htid a mortgage on the race from the jump, and won easily. Lasting fell deaci in the straight, and Sedgeferook gave way in the off foreleg a few yards from the stand. Cochrane escaped with a shaking. Dividends, £1 15s 6d and £1 lis. HACK SCURRY.
