Lord Lansdowne at the end of September iiially notified that all non-commissioned icers and men disabled by the war m uth Africa will receive pensions of from 6d to 3s 6d per day, m no case less Mi Is 6d, and a gratuity of £2 on disarge. This is to apply to all forces, tulars and colonials alike. Someone cal[ated that these pensions would amount about £80,00 0a year.
