After a long and at times acrimonious discussion the Lyttelton Harbour Board to-day negatived by seven votes to five votes two amendments providing respectively that the Ofcago Harbour Board's dredge should be engaged for two months, and from month to month, and decided to affix the seal of the Board to the new charter for reengaging the Iredge for six months.
