(By Telegraph.) DUNEDIN, January 9. The annual report of the Dunedin Jockey Club states that the year's operations have been unsatisfactory. Starting with a debit balance at the bank of £1237 12s 7d, the sum of £1050 was transferred from deposit account, but despite this the year ends witli a debit balance of £919 4s sd, showing the position to be worse by £731 lls lOd. There was a shrinkage from nearly all sources, but the most noticeable decrease was from the sale of booths £265 15s, and entrance fees, etc., £319 8s 6d. The expenditure had been reduced by £553 16s 2d. Unless something untoward occurs the committee anticipate the expenditure next year to be much less, and the committee hope that with an increased totalisator revenue, if favoured with good weather, " they will be able to show more satisfactoiy results next year.
