There was a good attendance and competition was brisk. Scoured wooli are unchanged, but other sorts are from par to 5 per cent above the rates ruling at the July 3ales. Good croßsbreds show the greatest rise. The Maori King's second quality bullocks brought from 4d to 4£d per Ib. Paris, September 18. Londoit, September 18. It is expected there will be heavy tendering for the New Sooth Wales loan, which ia now quoted at a premium of £t to£lss. Beceived 0.45 a.m., September 20th. Londok, September 19. The Times estimates that it cost £16 each to land Ihe Maori King's cattle exolusiva of insurance, while they only realised £16 14s. To make thetraffio pay it would be necessary to send five to eight hundred, m order to reduce the freight and cost of fodder. It is absolutely useless to send cattle m a store condition. The quantity of wool available for the next series is 285,000 bales. The present prices compared with the July rates for merino and crossbred ib par to 5 per cent, higher. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, (Ld), have received the following cablegram from their London office : — " The wool market is from par to 5 per cent, dearer."
