DUNEDIN, Attghtsi 14 At a meeting of the Prohibition League resolution's were carried gratefully recognising the efforts of Sir Robert Stout and those who supported him m endeavouring to obtain for the people the power to control, restrict, and if they bo dceire, abolish, tbe legalised sale of intoxicatits, and anticipate with confidence that they will not relinquish their effort* until a just and equitable demand be granted. Tbe league protests agaiost tbe attempt to depart from tbe principle of govornaient by majority m any legislative proposals to deal with the oontrol of the liquor traffic.
