Several supposed incendiary fires have occurred at Broken Hill, ' and on each occasion the tents of noa-unionistß were destroyed. There ia a general feeling of bitter hos> tility among ths labour members againat the Government. Several who have hitherto supported tho Miniatry declare that they are unable to maintain them iv office an hour longer. Sir H. Parkes and Mr Bruce Smith endorse the action of tho Government. (Beoeived 1 a.m., September 19th.) Sydney, Sept. 18. A mass meeting of working men was held to-day when the action of the Government m arrestiug the defence committee at Broken Hill was condemned. The Newcastle owners are preparing a new agreement embodying muoh of that at present m operation.
