Timara HsraU Office. Wednesday evening. AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. Messrs J. B. Rutland and Co., auctioneers, and prodnco merchants, report for tho week ending Oot. 11th : — Business of a much quieter character than preceding period, and prices for all sorts of merchandise practically the same. Potatoes if anything are lower than ever, with an nnlimited quantity to work npon. To-day's sale was remarkable for tho lethargic attitndo of buyers, and the lack of spirit considerably affected business done. However, they managed to clear most lines offered at the following results : — Fowl wheat, an all ronnd lot, at 7a per sack, mill sweepings 9d to 3s <M per bag, iata Is 3d per bushel, onions .£8 to JE9 per ton, pork 2d to 3}d per lb., cheese 3d to 4id do, apples igood) 2d per lb, inferior Id do, fresh batter (nearly half a ton entered, embracing all sorts and conditions), 4d to 7d per lb., and a well-known prime brand fetched Is , eggs 5d to 5d per doz, fowls 2s 3d to 3s 3d per pair, dncks 3s 3d to 3s 9d per pair, geese 2s 6d each, turkeys (prime gobblers) 03 each, hares Is 6d per pair. The usual large entry of furniture, glassware, sundries, etc., were cleared at vendors' prices. (B* Telegraph.)
