GREAT FIRE AND LOSS OF LIFE.
Mklbouuke, April 22. A disastrous fire broke out at 5.30 this morning in the Bijou Theatre, which, together with the Palace Hotel adjoining, was destroyed. The fice was st ill burning at 10 o'clock, but was under control. The Bcarcity of water was severely felt, and tho brigades were rendered helpless. Three firemen were killed by a falling wall, and three others were seriously injured. It is believed that the damage will exceed £80,000, but owing to the holiday no accurate information can be obtained.
