A NARROW ESCAPE.

(By Telegiufh.) : Auckland, Aug. 31. Tho ship Crusader on her passage from Wellington to Auckland via the West Coast, narrowly escaped being driven ashore on the Tara.na.ki toast. When off New Plymouth and near shore, she was caught m a gale, but managed to wear off the land though she lost hor mizzen topgallant mnste and a complete suit of sails, and one of her anchors was driven through her bows.
