The local manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on the grain market as follows : — Shipping wheat is decidedly firmer at from 4s 4d to 4b 5d per bushel ; malting barley — demand has slackened and prices reduced, 4s to 5s j New Zealand oats — feed sorts are quieter at 2s lOd to 3s ; milling descriptions are steady though not m active demand at 3s to 3s 9d ; New Zealand oats under bond are quoted at 2s 2d to 2s sd.
