(Special to the Press Association.) (Eeooivod 5 p.m., Oct. 13th.) Mblbociihb, Oct. 13. Heavy rain still continues to interfere with training. Winchester went twice round the course to-day m grand style, going strong and finishing well. Thunderbolt, St. Lawrence, Lesbia, Tom Brown and Gratitude did a serviceable gallop, and Welcome J&ck and Lantern went twice round splendidly. Liverpool and Trenton did good work, and have boen heavily backed by the public for the Melbourne Cup at 100 to 7.
