Sydney, Oot. 5. It ii understood that Sir Alex. Stuart will forward his resignation to the Governor to-day, and Mr Dibbs, the preeent Colonial Treasurer, will be sent for to form a reconstructed Ministry. Mr Service will shortly ask Parliament to authorise a loan of two millions, to bo applied m constructing railways m Victoria. ■ The Government steamer Despatch, which to sent to survey the locality of the wreck of the steamer Gvilf of Carpentaria, discovered the Biinkett rock on which the vessel struck. Stuart, the Premier, placed his resignation m the hands of the Governor to-day. His Excellency sent for the Hon. W. B. Dalley, Attorney-General, who, however, declined to form a Ministry. Lord Augustus Loftus then called upon the Hon. G. R. Dibbs, Colonial Treasurer, who undertook the task, and i 3 now actively engaged endeavoring to reconstruct the Ministry.
