SUPREME COURT.
(By Tbieqbaph.) Blenheim, April 29. The Supreme Court resumed this morning. John Hose, a lad who pleaded guilty to obtaining a gun by false pretences, was sentenced to six months, Mr Justice Richmond remarking that although some question had been raised as to the prisoner's sanity, he appeared to be a. bad boy, who had made a wrong start m life, and would come to some mischief if he did not turn back. John Wilson, alias Coburn, was found guilty of an attempt at rape, and sentenced to five years' imprisonment and 25 lashes. His Honor said prisoner added one more to the long catalogue of those who had lost themselves by drink. This case concluded the criminal business. iNVBBCABGILIr, April 29. The case of tho Banking Company v. Wilaon, Tains and Co., was resumed and concluded. His Honor reserved judgment for tho consideration of a legal point raised. The application Bichardson v. Richardson, for a judicial separation, will not come before the Court, having been privately arranged.
