COURSING.

The first coiirsjng meeting of the South Canterbury Coursing Club this season -will be held at the Pareora station to-day, the first dogs, if possible, to be m the slips nt 9 o'cleck. The events to be run off are the Puppy and All-aged Stakes, thirteen nominations being received for the former and eighteen for the latter. Should the weather prove at all fair, the meet should prove enjoyable. The draw took place at the Grosvenor Hotel last evening, the results being as follows ; — Puppy Stakes — First dog, £14 14s ; second dog, £7 7s ; third dog, £3 3s. Mr M.
