Dec. 23. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company to-day held a highly successful sale of sheep from Bare* wood Station. There was a large attendance of buyers and others interested, and ths competition for every lot was keen. Four, six and eight-tooth merino wethers m the wool brought 13s 7d ; full-mouthed do, shorn, 5s 2d ; twotoothed croasbrens, mixed sexes, shorn, 11s; two-tooth merino 3, mixed sexes, and fonrtooth merino ewea m the wool, 13a ; fonr and six-tooth crossbred wather3 and ewes, m the wool, 17s ; merino ewes, six and eight-tooth, and fall-mouthed, with lambs, m the wool, 13s 3d; crossbred ewes, four and six-tooth, with lambs at foot, m the wool, 18s Bd.
