Melbourne, June 15. A comet was visible here shortly after sunset yesterday. In the Legislative Assembly last night, Mr Francis submitted a resolution setting forth that the proposed remission of taxation, as announced m the Treasurer's Budget, was inconvenient and undesirable m view of the improbability of there being any surplus at tLe end of the present financial year. Mr Francis declared that he did not intend that bis resolution should be deemed a vote of want of confidence m the QoTernment. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen moved the adjournment of the debate, and the House rose.
