Received at 2.35 a.m. AUSTRALIAN CABLE. [Special to the "Thiartj Herald."] Melbourne, June 18. Eight hundred of the unemployed of Melbourne have already signed a petition to Mr Berry asking for work. Kelly sympathisers have purchased from a Melbourne gunmaker 400 rounds of ammunition suitable for a Spencer rifle similar to one the Kellys .secured at the time of the Mansfield police murder. It is reported that they have succeeded m eluding the police. [Rbuter's Agency.] Melbourne, June 18. The health of Lady Normanby is now more satisfactory, though she is still weak.
