! TIMARU— Tuesday, March 27, ISCG. [Before B. Woollcombe, Esq., R.M., W. C. Beswiek, and T. W. Hall, .md G. W. Hall, Esqs., J.P.s.] Zachnry D. Patterson, was brought up, on remand from the previous Tuesday, charged with having stabbed one Henry PritcharcL 1 The evidence taken ou that day having beea ■cad, The prisoner, m answer to the charge, stated lie would leave hia ease m the hands of his solicitor, Mr. Perry. The Resident Magistrate said there was prlntn facie evidence that the prisoner used a knife, ami th.it it would \m for a jury to decide f there had Imeii sufficient provocation given by the prosecutor to wanaut the use of such an instrument. The prisoner was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court at Christohurch.
