Fatal Accident.
A MAN KILLED AT W4ITEKAUKI.
The Mining Inspector (Mr. J. Coutts) received a wire yesterday stating that a fatal accident had occurred at the Waitekauri Cross mine. The name of the unfortunate victim is Charles Luscombe. Mr Coatts left immediately for Waitekauri to make inquiries. A subsequent telegram was received from Superintendent Davey, which ran as follows: "Man killed last night in number one shaft. Golden Cross section Waitekauri G-.M.C0,"
