-At the vf urniture trade .meeting a letter was.read from the Trade and Labour Council regarding the voting of the Labour members in Parliament.' .A resolution was carried .that' the time has arrived when the Labour members should assert their independence in labour questions, and not allow party considerations to defeat the just claims of labour,
Donedin, Tune 7.' The. President of the Arbitration Court intimated that the question involved in the bootmakers' dispute was of such a technical character as to necessitate the assistance of experts, and the Court adjourned to allow these to be appoiited.
