CHARGE AGAINST G. SOUTH DISMISSED.

[pV TELEOKAPII.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.J

Auckland, Decembor 23. Tho charge against George South, sharebrokar, of being drunk and disorderly on 18th insfc. was again before the Police Court to-day. There were a large number of witnesses for the defence, but only about half were called. Mr Northcroft, who sat on the Bench, dismissed the case against tho defendant, and added that Mr South left the Court without the slightest imputation on his character. It is more than probable more will be heard of this case after the holidays. :
