THE EXHIBITION. Sydney, Friday. The first prizes have been awarded Kaiapoi and Mosgiel for flannels; for blankets Mosgiel had obtained second prize, and Kaiapoi 3rd, In tweeds, Mosgiel Ist and Kaipoi 3rd; in woollen fabrics Mosgiel obtained 2nd prize; ; mats, Ooolc, Wellington; cord' tape, Behan, Waikawo; wool work, Lawless, Thames; counterpane, table cloth, Joi'dali, Dunodin, all of whom obtained 3rd prizes. There were sundry exhibits •which obtained fourth prizes. Mr Stephens, mate of the steamship Wakatipu, lias been seriously injured whilst engaged unloading the vessel. Melbourne, Friday. All the Ministers have been reelected. Telegrams to hand from London state that Gifford's refrigerating process has been a brilliant success, and the results highly satisfactory. The meat has proved] to be an excellent substitute. Melbourne, Thursday. It is stated that Governor Weld has .accepted the Governorship of the Straits Settlement, in succession to Sir William Robinson, who has gone to Western Australia. Adelaide, Friday. Wheat 4s 8d per bushel; Adelaide flour £11 5s per ton.
