CABLE MESSAGES.
(ueuter's special.)
London, November 30 (evening), The diplomatic correspondence which hits recently pissed between the British and Russian Governments in reference to Russian proceedings in Central Asia was issued from the Foreign Office today. It further shows that in reply to the first despatch of Earl Salisbury asking for explanations, the Russian Chancellor even denied that any formally accredited Mission had been sent to Cabul. This was subsequently explained in the manner previously telegraphed, namely, as an act of courtesy on the part of Kaufl'man, Governor-General of Turkestan. London, December 2. Mr Gladstone, addressing his constituents at Greenwich, refuted the accusation of the Secretary of State for India, that the late Cabinet was responsible for the Afghan difficulties, or that any action of the Liberals caused estrangements between the Ameer and Government. He also added that the war was unjust.
