SUPREME COURT.

SESSIONS CONCLUDED. The sessions of tbe Supreme Court at New Plymouth were concluded at a brief sitting this morning,’ before his Honour Sir W. Bassett Edwards, when the following business was disposed of: BANKRUPTCY MATTERS. On the motion of Mr. Quilliam, discharge from bankruptcy was granted to Harrison Ashworth Notldcr, taxi driver, Hawera, and a similar discharge was granted Ngaikabia Mare (William Murray), of Rabotu, labourer, formerly of Ngaere, on the motion of My. P. B. Eitaberbert. v A petition to have James ArDonald, farmer, Niko Niko, adjudicated a bankrupt, was moved by Mr. A. A. Bennett on .behalf of tbo Farmers’ Co-operative .Company, Ltd., and granted by his Honour, the order not to be sealed till after 3 p.m. to-day up to which time notice could be given of intention to oppose. ADJOURNMENTS. The case of Henry Brown and Co. v. tbe British Petroleum Company, was adjourned till next session, as was also the appeal of Ever v. Brooker against a decision of Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., at Eltham. RESERVED DECISION. Reserved decision was given by his Honour in the case of Ohus. J. Rowe v. Win. H. Butler, in which £236 10s was claimed as commission for work done. The case was heard by a jury who found for plaintiff for £l7l 10s, nnd the question reserved was as to whether plaintiff was entitled to commission on the sale of some cattle and implements in the transaction. This his Honour decided against, and entered judgment for £l7l 19s, the amount awarded by the jury. Mr. L. Etherington (for Halliwell, Spratt and Thompson) appeared for plaintiff, and Mr. C. H. Croker (for Spence, Rutherford., and Coleman), tor •the defendant..
