Callaghan, who had been suffering from asthma, left his home on Tuesday morning to go for a walk, and nothing has since been heard of him. MATE OF STEAMER DROWNED. * - DARGAVILLB, August’ 21. A drowning fatality occurred at 1.30 tlas morning, when Carl Ziska. mate of tho steamer Ruawai, was drowned while the vessel was berthing at the Helensville wharf. The body was recovered at noon. The, deceased man was wellknown and highly respected. He had been in the service of the Kaipara Steamship Co. for some yentfs.
