EMPLOYERS RETALIATE. DO NOT CALL FOR LABOUR. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 31. Following the action of the watersiders yesterday in declining to handle a cargo of superphosphates from the Meikai Maru, the employers to-day did not employ fresh labour and a number of vessels are consequently not being worked. The position will be consideredat a meeting on Monday and it is hoped that a settlement will be reached.
