It is announced that, owing to permission to the Shamrock to use a large club-sail, the Resolute’s time allowance was increased to 7min. Isec., and she therefore won the race,—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. OFFICIAL TIMES. NEW YORK, July 20. Official.—The Shamrock won by two minutes 26 seconds. According to the official record, the Shamrock finished at ohr. 38min. 6sec., and the Resolute at ohr. 48rain. llsec. In the last reach the Resolute gained. When the Shamrock was three miles from the, finish, pnd was only some seconds over the time allowance, a flattening wind reduced the Reeolute’s chance.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
