The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., Wellington, ro--port that at the sale held to-day ■(April 23), there was a distinct falling off in values for ox and cow hides and calf skins of ©very description, no doubt in sympathy with the general fall reported at many other centres, including Australia) and America. The average fall in price on ox and cow hides compared with the previous sale is from 2d to 3d per lb., whilst in the case cf calf skins of good quality and condition, the drop is often as much as lOd per lb. Tallow in tins shows a slight decline. The range of prices was as under: — Ox sound, 701 b and over 17gd to ox sound, 591 b to 691 b 18d to 22jd; ox sound, 531 b to 581b'15id to 21$d; ox sound 451 bto 521 b 14jd to 19 Jd; ox sound, 331 b to 441 b 14Jd to 18d; ox cut and slippy, all grades IOJd to 22Jd; cow sound, 4olb and over 14|d to 21d; cow sound, 351 bto 441 b 12Jd to 18£d; cow cut and slippy, all grades lOd to 16 J; yearling and kip sound, 111 bto 161 b 17d to 24d; yearling and kip sound, 171 b to 321 b 16d to 21Jd; yearling and kip, cut and slippy 9d«to 22 Jd; calf sound, first quality, under 61b 30d to 40jd ; calf sound, 61b to 81b 30 to 39|d ; calf sound, 91b to 101 b 25d to 30d; calf, cut and slippy 10$d to 30|d; bull stag 9Jd to 15|d; horse 17s to 255. Tallow, in casks 56s to 745 ; in tins, etc. 44s to 665. Sundries, horse hair 201 d to 23Jd.
