STRATFORD ELECTION.

MR. MINE’S LADY WORKERS AT STRATFORD. The final meeting of the Stratford lady workers’ committee was held at the Parish Hall on Tuesday afternoon, and 80 ladies were present, and reports were presented - showing that all the work for polling day is well in hand. Mr. and Mrs. Hine were present, and the candidate gave a short address and expressed his thanks for the cordial support he is receiving from the lady workers throughout the campaign. Afternoon tea was dispensed at the close of the meeting. MR. HIKE AT K AIM AT A. In spite of the very boisterous weather, over 100 residents attended Mr. Hine’s meeting at Kaimata on Monday night. On taking tho platform, the candidate was greeted with prolonged cheers, and the stage was absolutely strewn with boquets from tho ladies. Mr. Capper was voted to tho chair. Mr. Hiue gave a stirring address to his audience, and twitted Mr. Masters over his advocacy of State shipping while he (Mr. Masters) could not trust the Massey Government to control the main arterial roads. Mr. Peterson moved and Mr. Bracegirdle jnr., seconded that a hearty vote of thanks be accorded Mr. Hine for his able address, and renewed confidence in Mr. Hine and the Massey Government, which was carried unanimously.
