SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN.

BRITISH CAPTAIN MURDERED. i * By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received April 28, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, April 27. The Probate Court presumed the death of Captain Owen, commander of the steamer Windsor Hall, which was torpedoed in tho Mediterranean in 1918. When the crew took to the boats tho submarine demanded the captain and took Owen prisoner, who had not been heard of since. Inquiries in Berlin and Vienna led to replies that there was no record of the torpedoing. Counsel remarked that there was not likely to be any record if Captain Owen had been taken on board and disposed of. Tho Judge: The submission then is that Captain Owen was murdered. Counsel: It cannot be doubted.
