GISBORNE GAMBLERS.
RECEIVE HEAVY FINES. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, April _27._ Michael Dennohy was fined £SO in default six months' imprisonment as the occupier of a house used for gaining purposes, and was ordered to come np for sentence on another charge of frequenting tile roadway for betting purposesj the sentence to bo conditional on bis leaving the district. Arthur Owen on two charges of gaming in the street was fine £IOO on the first and -was ordered to come up for sentence on July 26 on the other.
