Tiie striking report of the AngloPorsian Aiilitary Commission recommends tlio complete reorganisation and the welding of the country’s curiously mixed semi-tribal forces, giving Persia the nucleus of a compact well trained army of 60,000 with the most modern equipment. It is proposed that the Government should appoint 3 British chief military adviser to be associated with a. Persian officer of high rank with a British staff of officers until the Persians are able to replace them.
