REPLIES TO QUESTIONS.

In the House of Commons Mr. Chamberlain stated that there was not as yet any weakening among tho Allies as regards reparation from Germany. There was no reason to suppose German}' was unable to pay a very considerable contribution under tho Treaty. Mr. Boiiar Law stated that the United States Government refused to be associated with the proposed League of Nations Commission ot Inquiry into conditions in Soviet Russia. Tho Government would not submit to tho League of Nations proposals for an agreement prohibiting tho use of black troops in Europe. Tho Government had made no presentation to Franco on tho subject. It was not for tho Government or the House of Commons to judge tho action of an ATJy. He hoped the Conference at San Romo would settle the question of German war criminals. None of those in British hands had been released.—lmperial Service.
