A CONSTABLE MURDERED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. (Received April 26, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 24. Constable M’Carthy was waylaid at Clonakilty (County Cork) and 1 a tally shot. Lord French sailed for England. He was strongly guarded. CONSTABLE FIRED AT. (Received April 26, 12.65 p.m.) LONDON, April 25. Constable Swanton was wounded whilst proceeding homewards at Ennis, County Clare on Saturday night. One bullet passed through his lett thigh and another passed along tho breast of bis tunib, but inflicted no wound. Three men have been arrested.
