MANAWATU AND WEST COAST A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
Tire 18th National Dairy Show is to be held on Juno 22, 23, 24, and 25, and promises to be of exceptional interest. The entries for the butter and cheese divisions have excelled all expectations, and the competitors will bo more keen than ever to be first “past the post,” as the dairy schedule this year was a very attractive one, owing to tho various new cups that have been placed on the list. There are divisions, though, for all classes of tho community, so that those who perhaps aro not personally interested in tho great dairying industry of New Zealand can compete in some event or class at the forthcoming show. There are classes for vegetables, seeds, field roots, honey, fruit, homo industries, art needlework, and amateur photography. The ring events include the now famous intercollegiate football match between AA ranganui and To Auto, dog trials, both open and maiden, and hunters’ competitions. A silver cup has been presented by Air. AA r . I). AA’atson, of Alastorton, for a ladies’ jumping competition, and this should prove a very popular item of tho programme. Tho Alanawatu Poultry Association hold their annual exhibition on June 23, 24, and 26, and entries for this and all other classes close on Juno 7. Schedules and all information may be obtained _ from tho secretary, AA r . T. Penny,’ Box 83, Palmerston North.
