There was a slight increase in values of beef, and mutton, was very firm at late rates, and slightly exceeding the previous week’s at the end of tho sale. Store sheep -. Shorn two-tooth ewes 24s 3d, ewe hoggets to 33s 3d, good shorn two-tooth wethers 24s to 29s sd, four and sixtooth wethers (shorn) to 295, four and six-tooth wethers 39s sd, sound-mouth-ed ewes and lambs 21s 9d (all counted), sound-mouthed dry ewes (shorn) to 26s 2d. Fat lambs: 560 penned, compared with 511 last week, some very prime lambs being forward. For these demand was keen, light sorts being down in values. Extra prime prought t0.38s 4d, prime 30s 3d to 36s 3d, medium 26s 3d to 29s lid, lighter 19s 9d to 25s 6d. Fat sheep: An average yarding, tho bulk being shorn and tho quality good. Extra prime wethers to 57s 3d, prime 4&s 3d to 55s 2d, shorn 45s 6d, medium 41s to 47s 9d, shorn to 425, 295, 35s 9d, shorn extra prime ewes to 71s, prime 51s to 59s 6d, shorn to 42s 6d, medium 37s to 425. shorn to 37s 6d, lighter 29s 6d to 36s (shorn), prime hoggets 36s to 435, lighter to 35s 6d. Fat cattle; A yarding of 353, the bulk being prime. Extra prime steers to £34; prime steers £l7 12s to £3l, ordinary £lO to £l6, prime heifers £l3 to £l7 12s, prime cows £l3 to £lB.. Store cattle; An average yarding of second grade quality. Two and a half to throe-year steers to £l3 10s, two and a half year steers to £lO, 18-months to two-year mixed steers and heifers to £7 ss, yearlings £2 17s to £5 Ss, cows £8 15s. Vealere; An entry, except for weaners of inferior quality. Runners to £lO 12s, I good vealers £4 to £5, fair vealers 42s j to 67s 6d, small and inferior 6s to 425. Fat pigs: A fair entry and keen competition. Extra heavy baconers £9. heavy baconers £7 to £7 15s, others £5 iOs to £6 10s, equal to llfd per lb; heavy porkers £4 10s to £5. others £4 to £4 sa, equal to 12 3d to 13d per lb. Store pigs: A small entry. Medium stores* 60s, small 425, to 58s, weaners 16s 6d to 47s 6d.
