BOWLING.
Tho Inglewood Club opens its season on Thursday next when it is anticipated there will bo a big crowd of bowlers Clubs affiliated to tho Taranaki Centro will bo interested to note that the usual New Year tournament will be held this season and that it will bo governed by the same rules as in former years. Entries, it has been decided, will close on December 23. Tho executive of the Taranaki Centro met recently and all preliminary arrangements were made in connection with tho full rink tournament to be held on January 23. 27, 28. and 29 next. This tournament is becoming increasingly popular each succeeding season, and. this year many additional outside bowlers have already expressed their intention of taking part. A citizens’ match has again, been included on the programme.
