THE PRINCE OF WALES.

A SPEECH AT VANCOUVER. By Telegraph—-Press Assn. —Copyright, (Received Sept, 23, 1.15 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Sfcpt. 22. The Prince of ‘Wales has completed his transcontinental tour. Unexampled enthusiasm ivas shown at balls and public luncheons. Speaking at a luncheon at Vancouver the Prince referred to General Botha’s death as a, blow to all Britishers. Ho announced that ho intended to repeat his visit to Cqnada. • The first sight of the Pacific Ocean, on his arrival at Vancouver, had reminded him of the closeness of Australia and Nov' Zealand, where, as in Canada, ho had many friends, made during the Great War. He hoped to visit these great countries. The query was how soon. He had felt quite at home in Canada, and knew he would feci the same in Australia and New Zealand, where a great British civilisation was being built up under the Southern Cross. The glory won by tho troops from these countries at Gallipoli would never fade and the Canadians who had fought alongside the Australasians know their worth.
