It is complied from State documents and shows that the Austrian Ministerial Council after the Grand Duke’s assassination provoked the war with Serbia, fully' realising that their ultimatum must bo rejected. Count Pisza alone vras willing to be content with a diplomatic victory and wished to make terras such as Serbia could, accept. Count Berchtold insisted upon war, declaring that ho realised Russia would bo dragged in, but the Kaiser and Herr von Rcthmann-Hollweg had given a satisfactory guarantee in the event of com-plications.—Aus.-N.Z.
